How to Set: On models using a Delco EST set the base timing as follows:

• 1) Stop engine
• 2) Attach adapter (Volvo Penta P/N 885163-6 or OMC P/N 986662)
• 3) Connect black wire of adapter to a battery positive source
• 4) start engine and run at idle speed
• 5) Set timing to specifications for your engine model
• 6) Remove adapter
